VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED

"Why am I smiling?

"Since I've been fixed, I don't care to wonder anymore; I prefer to stay around the house and socialize with my people, and play. I don't fight. Intact animals don't hang around my house, causing a ruckus, and upsetting my family. I can expect fewer health problems and my chances of getting cancer have been greatly reduced. I won't contribute to the horrible problem of pet overpopulation which results in over 7 million pets being killed every year in the US! I'm smiling because my good friend and neighbor, Cat, has been fixed too.

"Ah...life is good."

HOF  PROGRAMS

Harden's Cat Haven & Adoptions

In 2003 HOF inherited some property from a cat lover/rescuer. This wonderful gift consists of a large house, apartment, and a few out-buildings on 15 acres. With the help of HOF volunteers, this 'made to order' property was turned into a much needed cat sanctuary. In 2006, the Haven was moved to Lecanto, closer to the clinic to make it more accessible to the public.

The idea was to rescue cats from Animal Control before they were euthanized and give them a second chance to get adopted, much like dogs have a second chance thanks to those dedicated dog-lovers at Room For One More.

Since opening our doors we've adopted out several hundred cats and kittens.

All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, dewormed and vaccinated prior to adoption. .

The Haven is supported solely by donations and adoption fees. If you would like to make a donation to the Haven please specify. If you would like to adopt a Haven cat click here for photos and contact information.

Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic

Our low cost pay/neuter clinic is now open for business. HOF contributes $5.00 toward the cost of every spay/neuter surgery which helps keep the prices down. Our price list can be found on the Clinic page. To make an appointment or If you need help getting your pet spayed or neutered, or to volunteer, please call 352-563-2370.
